Reservations – Group Tours

Since our tour group size is limited to 10-12, Treasures of Travel recommends early reservations.  A deposit of $500 will hold your reservation.  This deposit will be held in an escrow account in the United States.  Upon receipt of your deposit, Treasures of Travel will send you a confirmation letter and further details about your trip.

Custom Individual Arrangements

After an initial consultation, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to complete your arrangements.  This deposit is applied in full to the total balance, which is due 60 days before departure.

Cancellations

If you cancel your reservation on a group  tour 60 days or more before departure, both your deposit and full payment will be refunded less a $100 per person service charge.  There will be no refund if you cancel  less than 60 days prior to departure, or if you cancel during a tour.

We must receive your cancellation in writing. If Treasures of Travel cancels a tour, any money you have paid toward that trip will be refunded in full.

Land Cost

All rates quoted in the itineraries are for the land portion of your tour only, except the mentioned and included domestic flights.  Because Treasures of Travel plans trips more than a year in advance, prices listed in the itineraries are subject to change due to currency fluctuations.

Air Transportation

Domestic flights within a country are included in the prices in the itinerary. International and domestic flights from/to your home city to the beginning and ending point of the tour are not included. Treasures of Travel  does not arrange overseas flights.

Insurance

There is no insurance included in the tour price.  We highly recommend you take out trip insurance covering total land/air costs, trip cancellations, baggage loss, travel accidents, and medical emergencies.

Tips, taxes, and Baggage Handling

All tips, taxes, and baggage handling are included in the price of each tour, except tips for your tour guide and driver, and restaurants (although this only refers to meals which aren't included on the itinerary and in the price of the tour).  A guideline for tipping will be included in your tour information package.

Visa and passport

Treasures of Travel will advise if an individual visa is required for travelling in any country listed in the itinerary.  U.S. passports must be valid at least 6  months beyond the return date. Canadian passports must be valid at least 6 months beyond the return date. Any fees for visas or passports are not

included in the tour price. Treasures of Travel can assist with the acquisition of the proper visa but the ultimate responsibility for obtaining the necessary visas in your passport is on you.

Hotels

Treasures of Travel does not select hotels by their stars or luxurious appearance.  We choose hotels for our guests based on location, quality, charm, safety, character, and friendliness of the staff.  We use tourist hotels only when they are the best available.  Rooms are standard with twin or double beds and private baths; single rooms are available with the single supplement.  Prior to departure, you will receive a complete hotel list with names, telephone numbers and webpage addresses.

Restaurants

Sampling the food in local restaurants will be one of the highlights of your trip. We have found that our guests enjoy dining in small, intimate, traditional restaurants frequented by the locals, where they are served authentic regional specialties.

Limited Travel Mobility and Food Restrictions!

We would like to ask each of our guests to inform us about their health issues, physical immobility and/or any food restrictions they might have in order to be prepared for their special needs.

Responsibility

Treasures of Travel acts exclusively as an agent for tour members and is not responsible for personal injury or property damage caused by any supplier of services offered in connection with these tours.  All components of these tours are offered in good faith, but we cannot be responsible for any claims, losses, expenses, or delays resulting from mechanical breakdowns, government actions, strikes, weather, acts of God or other factors and causes beyond our control or  the control of any supplier; or the client's failure to follow instructions, including but not limited to check-in and check-out times and baggage handling.  Reasonable changes in our scheduled itineraries may be made at any time when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of the passengers.  We reserve the right to decline any application, or to exclude any person as a tour member if that person impedes the operation of the tour.  We also reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the tour without refund should that person's behavior be detrimental to the enjoyment of the tour by other tour members.  Each tour member will be asked to read and sign an "Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Responsibility Agreement".
